Our final project entails an interactive virtual role-playing game entitled (Dreamscape) based upon a young boy’s (Jif) dreams. Jif fell asleep while reading one of his adventurous comics only to continue the saga in his dreams.

Jif’s mission is to defeat his enemies and overcome obstacles that plagued his hometown and other neighboring towns. There will be text balloons and/ or pop-ups to guide you along one main mission. As well as, some key items that will help to defeat the creatures. In addition, we will attempt to use very little java scripting without sacrificing the experience.

Our three-man team worked well together in dividing the task at hand. Joe was in charge of modeling the enemies “big bosses”, as well as object modeling, texturing, dialog recording and animation. Ian’s job was to create models of NPC’s, towns, other object models as needed and reducing the amount of polygons used. Ian was also responsible for the dialogue and music. My responsibilities were animation, interactivity, object modeling, storyline, linking all of the virtual worlds, SFX, create a first person interface, web page design and supply the artist statement.

On another note, working in a team allowed us to explore and feed off of each other’s untapped ideas. Also, we all had a similar interests in taking the Virtual 3D class we wanted to create interactive virtual worlds and games.

We would also like to thank the following people for their help in making this class interesting and a valued learning experience.

Thank you:
