Liquefaction

Liquefaction is a fast-paced game centered around fluid dynamics based gameplay. This version is fully playable, although many features of the game are still to come. Liquefaction employs real inviscid fluid dynamics to create a compelling game where the player attempts to control a flow field. A fourth order Runge-Kutta solver ensures accurate and responsive reactions to the player’s commands. The simplicity of the Liquefaction interface combined with easy to follow instructions means that anyone can enjoy playing this revolutionary game.

Experimental Game Design

Liquefaction was written by Mark Newman for an Experimental Game Design class. The class was taught by Kathleen Ruiz in the fall semester of 2003. The music and sound for Liquefaction were created by Willy Joy.
