The idea behind the Ascension narrative was to express the experiences of the viewer in reference to the attainment of their most desired goals
Most importantly, i wanted to call into question the wisdom in finding that thing which is desired most.
The persuit of one's dreams can become nearly an obsession at times, and can displace what and who you really are.
There is beauty in strife and struggle. It creates strength, force of will, gives you something to do while you're waiting to die.
But is there anything really noble about hitting the top?
