The Simpsons is a popular cartoon many people adore, which is why we chose to do a 3d webisode starring Homer and his alien friend Kang. We have always liked the simpsons, but like any other cartoon it's plagued by the problems of being simply 2 dimensional. The purpose of our webisode is to depict these 2d characters and their 2d world in 3d. There are so many things that can be better expressed in three dimensions. For example, whenever you see anything from the point of view of one of the characters (usually Homer) the scene is really not convincing. There are just a lot of things you can do better with 3D. So we set out to create a mini-simpsons episode that you have the ability to interact with, and at least in some way define how the action progresses. You can explore the world when there is a break in the action. This gives the world a quality that a 2D episode, even an interactive one, could never have. Frequent Simpson's viewers may have noticed how episodes have become very random, and that is something else we have incorporated in our world, the idea of randomness. - Shannon & Jeff
