| VRML is a way for people to get away from real life and experience something different, something almost surreal. It allows the you to enter a new world and walk around and feel what it is like to be there. Visit places that you would not or cannot normally go to. The Solar System, yet not surreal, but almost, is a place like this. | The fact that no one has ever physically explored space, and that no one will for many many years makes it almost a fantasy land. A place that goes on forever and seems to be full of so much but full of nothing, just empty space. With a VRML model of the planets you can actually travel out into space and explore. See what it | looks like from Jupiter while it rotates around the sun, see how a planet can go from a dot in the sky to an object larger than imaginable. The Virtual Reality Solar System is designed to give the user some information on our planets and an inside view of where we live today but have never explored. |
