Take 1 old personal family photograph in need of restoration. Using coloration, airbrushing, rubberstamp and other techniques bring the image back to life again. Show both the old and the digitally retouched version side by side.

Photomontage & Truth - defying time and space in a new family portrait

Photomontage is defined as 1.the technique of making a photographic composition by combining parts or elements of more than one photograph, often with the addition of other graphic material. 2. a composition made by using such techniques.

Using techniques of photomontage and image manipulation learned in studio, take 3 family photographs: one of your grand parent, one of your parent, and one of yourself all at the same or similar age. Montage them into one family portrait. What new meanings arise?
