  Alterius Project Information

Alterius is a modification for Unreal Tournament 2004 being developed as a senior capstone project by a group of EMAC majors at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Professor Kathleen Ruiz is supervising development. Our goal for the project is to create a rich, dynamic, highly interactive game environment that conveys a compelling narrative. A high degree of interactivity and freedom to approach problems from multiple angles are our primary design objectives, as we feel that these are the aspects of game design that most need to be developed if games are to mature into a more truly immersive medium.

The members of the development team are:

  • Jesse Brown - email | website - Web site design and maintenance.
  • Joe Cecot - email - Programming and scripting.
  • Jonathan Mintz - email - Game design, writing, level design.
  • Ian Stead - email | website - Modelling, texturing, level design.
  • Note on Email Addresses: To help prevent spam, the @ and . in each address have been replaced with text equivalents. Simply restore them to their proper state to send your email.

Naturally, in a team of this size, roles tend to be blurred and shared between members. The roles listed here represent each team members' core focus, but by no means their exclusive contributions to the project.
