In this final project, I am trying to convey a few different poins shown through a seies of vector based images. One of the few things that interest me is the duality of nature. I find it very interesting how one object can present itself in a sepecific way one day, and then a few weeks down the road, be the complete opposite. Thinking about how total opposite coexist also interests me. It seems that over the past few hundred years we have taken complete control over the planet. One species was able to transform the planet in a couple hundred years, I wonder how the plants and animals that we used to peacefully coexist this hostile takeover of the planet. All images are made in Photoshop and Illustrator CS3.

Ying Yang
A simple image showing the duality that exists between two opposites. Even with all the differences between the summer and winter seasons, the same boy and the same tree are present, just at different stages in their lives. This goes to show that no matter how different two things are, in this case the seasons, there will always be something similar present.

Cherry Tree
This image shows four individual images that seem to have nothing in common, but at a second glance show that when put together they are the same object, in this case, a cherry tree during the different stages of its life.

Seperate but Together
The bare tree on the bottom half of the image doubles as the other tree's roots to show that no matter how things change or are viewed under a different light, they still have something in common.

Who's earth
Who should control the planet? Plants and all forms of animal life were around long before we were, but we too are a part of the planet and have claim. We, as a species, must find a compromise between our urban lifestyle and nature.

The End All
If we keep going the way we are going as far as technology and polution go, I wonder, what will become of the planet. Are we putting too much strain on our tiny blue planet? Can our fragile ecosystems adjust or handle our way of life. These are some questions I am addressing with this piece. If we are not careful, we might be our own downfall. The Earth is represented by an apple core in this piece to show that if we are not careful, we might take advantage of everything the planet has to offer, but one day will be left with nothing, just like this apple core.
